We have some big news to share with you!
We are adding two amazing new Co-Chairs to our organization: Seattle City Attorney Ann Davison and Yakima County Commissioner Amanda McKinney! Ann and Amanda will serve alongside current League Co-Chair Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers.
Amanda McKinney was first elected as a Yakima County Commissioner in 2020, becoming the second woman ever elected to that position. Amanda holds a variety of leadership roles, including representing the Washington State Association of Counties Board of Directors on the Western Interstate Region Board of the National Association of Counties. Amanda is a wife to her husband, David, and a mother to their two children.
Ann Davison was elected as Seattle City Attorney in a landmark election in 2021 and has received national attention for the impact her office has had decreasing crime and increasing accountability in the city. Like Amanda, Ann is a mother of two and balances her busy life of public service with the duties of motherhood.
We are so grateful for each of our three amazing Co-Chairs. The addition of Seattle City Attorney Ann Davison and Yakima County Commissioner Amanda McKinney not only brings geographic diversity to our leadership team, but diversity of experience. These new Co-Chairs are passionate about our mission and their involvement is going to inspire countless women at every level of government to run for public office. Welcome, Ann and Amanda!
