Washington State needs committed and passionate leaders to step up to the plate, and time is running short! The deadline to run for office is just a few weeks away and there are HUNDREDS of offices up for election. There is no time like the present to take the next step in public service and run for office—that’s where League of Our Own Washington comes in.
League of Our Own Washington is dedicated to recruiting women who believe in limited government, free markets, and fiscal responsibility to run for public office. We provide the tools, resources, training, and mentorship needed to transform passionate women into successful candidates and effective leaders.
In a structure reminiscent of Major League Baseball, our organization is made up of Prospects (women who are running for office or are just thinking about running for office in the future), Scouts (men and women who are constantly looking for new Prospects to join our team), Coaches (experienced men and women who provide mentorship and guidance to Prospects in the areas they need it most), and Fans (men and women who come alongside Prospects and League to support along the way). Each role plays a vital part in our mission to bolster the ranks of women leaders in Washington State.
In today’s political climate, the call for pragmatic, compassionate, and thoughtful leadership has never been more urgent. League of Our Own Washington recognizes this opportunity and is using it to effect meaningful change. With 56 Prospects already elected to public office across all levels of government since our inception three years ago, the impact is being felt in communities in every corner of our state. But that’s just the beginning. Our potential for growth extends even further, with more than 200 Prospects in our system who are considering a future run for public office.
As Candidate Filing Week approaches, the need for exceptional women candidates is paramount. Filing Week starts on May 6th and ends on May 10th.
